Silent Retreats

Join me and the horses for a day of silence and inner reflection.

What has your heart been trying to tell you?

Surrounded by the sounds of nature, you’ll have the opportunity to open your senses, hear your inner voice, and find the guidance you’ve been waiting for.

Our group size never exceeds 12, and in silence we become invisible to one another. We will set an intention for our time together, then silently break off to meditate with the horses, practice Wu Wei with the horses (the art of non-action in Taoism), take a walking meditation around the paddock where the horses live, journal or doodle and most importantly spend time with ourselves.

Wear layers as well as boots or closed-toed shoes as we will mostly be outside in the paddock, rain or shine.

2024 Dates: July 14 9:00am - 1 pm

$139 +HST

Private Retreats with the Horses

Private equine therapy for an immersive and life-changing half-day to overnight retreat.

Do you feel a need to go deeper?

I am a certified FEEL (facilitated equine experiential learning) practitioner. While much of my work uses the simple presence of horses to shift the psyche, these private retreats go much deeper.

No horse or riding experience is necessary. From 10am to 4pm each day, I will guide you through a series of activities and interactions with the horses—all safe, playful, and on the ground. The lessons your will learn from the horses transfer seamlessly to daily to life. I’ve felt raw, naked self-awareness looking back at me through the eyes of a horse more times than I can count. And I’ve watched a horse become the unwavering guide on someone’s path to healing. The experience is unique for everyone and often described as “magical.”

The facilities include a cozy indoor meeting room, beautiful rolling hills and trees galore. Sessions are held rain or shine, so wear your boots. Each full day includes a one and a half hour break for a catered lunch. For more multiple day retreats, available upon request.

Cost:

$650 / 1/2 day (10am-1pm) does not include lunch
$1000 / day (10am - 4pm) includes lunch
$1500 / overnight (10am - 4pm / 10am - 12pm) includes lunch Day 1

An extra participant can be added for an additional charge

“I felt a horse’s heart. I shared a horse’s breath. I sobbed (and sobbed) into a horse’s shoulder. And I haven’t stopped writing—the thing I most wanted to do.”

— Carrie / Writer & Communicator

“Jenn introduced my entire team to the horses for our New Year’s retreat. I caught a solid glimpse of everyone’s best self that day, and the horses brought that out for us.”
